It’s back to basics month. Kids are back in school and, I don’t know about you, but all my years of being in school ingrained in me that September was the time to reflect on where I am and what I need to move forward. It’s really a semi-new year.
After a summer of throwing caution to the wind (maybe not totally, but…), I assess whether my body and health need a boost. If the body isn’t healthy, the energy isn’t there and the inspiration and action to create a flourishing life go by the wayside.
I’ve seen this philosophy played out over and over with my clients. They start rebuilding with powerful nourishment from basic, whole foods. It helps shed extra pounds, alleviates aches and pains and clears the head of fogginess (among other things).
Next, we can either dig deeper into food sensitivities that may be preventing them from feeling as well as they can, or we’re ready to move onto which aspects of their life are supporting them and which aren’t. It may be time for adjustments here, taken one step at a time.
One client realized that she was saying “yes” to everyone but herself. As a way to cope, she would treat herself with candy, chips or other unhealthy foods. Once she started strengthening those self-care muscles, it became much easier to support herself with good food instead of junk.
Feeling well and in balance means the sky’s the limit in terms of creating the life and health you want. It takes reflection, inspiration, focus, empowerment, and action, with the guidance to keep you on track. It’s amazing how life seems to flow with you to support you once you have cleared the way. What do you want to create in your life these days? Powerful change begins with a single step. It’s up to you to seize the moment.
